TV's Melissa engaged to boyfriend

Former Dancing With the Stars finalist Melissa Rycroft is reportedly engaged to her boyfriend Tye Strickland.

Tye, an insurance agent, proposed to Melissa in Dallas and the pair celebrated the engagement with friends at a restaurant, Usmagazine.com reports.

The magazine quoted a source as saying that Melissa was "beaming happy" as she walked into Cretia's restaurant with her fiance and "everybody stood up and clapped".

Melissa has been dating Tye ever since she was dumped by Jason Mesnick six weeks after he proposed to her on the 13th series of the reality television show Bachelor.

She'd said of her budding relationship then: "We've been really good friends, but the timing was never right. With all this going on, he's my support system. It's funny how things happen."

Melissa announced earlier this month that she is joining ABC's Good Morning America as a special contributor and is set to make around eight to 10 appearances on the show this summer.
