Robin & Paul had a most unusual wedding planned for them – they never wanted a big celebration, so instead of going abroad they had their families plan the wedding for them, as a complete surprise! All they had to do was get their outfits, and the rest was a mystery until the big day. Everything was absolutely perfect, and Mark from Evolve Photography was there to capture the most important part of it – the ceremony and intimate reception at Haldon Belvedere – Lawrence Castle, on a beautiful October afternoon.

Paul was deployed to Afghanistan for 6 months back in March. He proposed over the phone because he said he couldn’t wait until he got home to do it! He’s not one for keeping secrets, bless him!
We really wanted a low maintenance wedding so we had decided to just go to Thailand with our parents, but our ideas weren’t really coming together so my parents offered to plan something special at home as a surprise. All we did was choose our own dress and suit! Our parents came together and planned us an amazing wedding with our siblings. It lasted nearly a week and was kept a complete surprise from us until the day! We stayed with our families in separate B&Bs the night before, the venue was absolutely beautiful! Paul and I stayed there on our own on the wedding night and following night, then we met the rest of the family again at a lovely country house in Devon where we all stayed to celebrate for the rest of the week. It was absolutely perfect in every way.
