Ani and Robbie’s vintage 1950’s wedding was held on the 22nd of September 2012 and was such a wonderfully unique and creative day! All of these fantastic wedding photos come from the incredibly talented Gemma Willis Photography.
Ani and her bridesmaids prepared for the big day in an extremely relaxed atmosphere before getting into the gorgeous outfits they had lined up. Ani wore a stunning tea length gown with 3 bright red petticoats which add a fuller, more voluminous effect, finished off with a red sash belt and a delicate lace shawl. Her retro chic hair was paired perfectly with the red lipstick and beautiful birdcage veil to create a flawless vintage bride look.
Ani and Robbie held the ceremony at a registry office in their hometown of Stroud in Kent, making it easier for their family and friends to travel to the big day. The retro combination of Robbie’s tweed suit and Ani’s tea length dress resulted in a spectacular first kiss that looks as though it’s a moment frozen in time. Once their ceremony finished Ani and Robbie hopped into their adorable wedding car, a vintage Morris Ten.
Their reception took place in stunning barns in Maidstone and this was where all of Ani and Robbie’s hard work and planning paid off, decorating the venue in a style which truly embodied their personalities. The guests even got involved in the retro theme with gorgeous heels, petticoats and braces as far as the eye could see. Ani and Robbie’s rustic nude cake was finished off with delicious fresh berries, a dusting of sugar and even had Wonder Woman and Batman as their cake toppers.
The beautifully relaxed and natural photos taken in the field outside of the barn summarise the wedding perfectly, unique, fun and bursting with love.
