Sinead & Adrian’s ceremony was held at St. Mary’s Church, located in the heart of Westport, a small yet vibrant island on the west coast of Ireland. This romantic Irish wedding was photographed by the amazing Amanda Forman Photography.
Surrounded by her bridesmaids, Sinead began getting ready for her wedding in a hotel not too far from her ceremony venue. Included in her preparations was her first dress of the day, an intricate, yet delicate French lace slip dress. This dress was white, to create a traditional bridal look for her ceremony, but her second dress was a nude slip gown, highlighting the lace pattern at her reception. Sinead had won £1,500 towards her wedding dress when she attended a wedding show with her aunt.
The venue was located in a very special place for Sinead & Adrian; St. Mary’s Church is situated in the town where they enjoyed one of their first holidays together. The happy couple wanted to return to Westport over and over again making it the perfect location for their big day. It was also a location that their friends and family would enjoy and was only a 2 minute walk from the hotel where they held their reception.
When choosing a venue for their reception Sinead & Adrian kept in mind that their guests will have travelled long distances to join them for the big day so tried to ensure the wedding was accessible for them. The reception was held at The Castlecourt Hotel, but before Sinead & Adrian went to their party they did sneak away to a local pub for a quick pint. There is a little tradition in Ireland for the bride and groom to pull their first pint of Guiness together after the ceremony, so Sinead & Adrian did just that in a traditional Irish pub.
