Obviously we love New York Bridal Fashion Week for many reasons – the amazing fashions, the buzz from the industry, the Big Apple setting… but this weekend we loved it even more as one of the models received a surprise proposal on the runway!

As the Watters show came to an end, designer Elias Gutierrez came out for his final bow, with model Nicole Kaspar in a gorgeous tiered wedding gown adorned with pastel embroidery. Her boyfriend, Chad Stapleton, made his way on to the runway and dropped down to one knee in front of the delighted crowd.
Luckily the Knot were on hand to capture the moment the proposal took place.

After the surprise proposal, model Nicole told the Knot: “We met in Las Vegas through mutual friends. My tooth had cracked and part of it fell out, so at lunch they were asking Chad to look at it. I was so embarrassed because he was so cute.”

Erm, why have our dentists never looked like this? Of course a cracked tooth didn’t deter Chad, as Nicole shared that he dropped her a line afterwards via Instagram and the couple went on their first date as soon as they could.
