Earlier this week, reports across the web from CNN to BBC News were abuzz with the question, “Is Justin Bieber engaged?” as rumours spread that that pop star popped the question to model Hailey Baldwin over the weekend. CNN reported that someone “close to the singer” had confirmed it, and a source allegedly told PEOPLE that,
“It’s kind of a surprise, but kind of not. Justin has been extremely happy these past few weeks. He has known Hailey for a long time. This might seem sudden, but they know each other very well.”
The couple dated back in 2016 before splitting, but recent appearances together sparked a lot of speculation. These speculations culminated in social media posts over the weekend that said the couple had been seen in the Bahamas, with reports that Justin had popped the question to Hailey during the trip. Images from fans who met the couple pointed out the ring on Hailey’s left hand.

Fans were sent into further excitement when Justin’s father, Jeremy, shared his own Instagram post reading, “Proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter!”
Furthermore, Justin’s mother Pattie then Tweeted a vague “Love Love Love Love Love Love Love” on Twitter.

As soon as rumours about Justin’s engagement began to fly, Twitter lit up—more so when Hailey’s father then said on Sunday that he and Hailey’s mother “Always pray 4 God’s will !!” in a quickly-deleted tweet that made a very direct reference to marriage in a quote reading, “Husbands, love your wives.”
Happily for fans though, the tweet was captured by Twitter page “Justin Bieber Crew”.
Now Justin has confirmed his engagement, as he took to Instagram to post a long note along with photos of him with his fiancée.
“Was gonna wait a while to say anything, but word travels fast,” Justin wrote. “Listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you! So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY.”
Many fans are noting similarities between Justin’s engagement and that of singer Ariana Grande, who is engaged to actor Pete Davidson after only weeks of dating, and we wish both couples huge congratulations!
