As the name suggests, Balbier has gone for a really fun, sexy and feminine style. It pulls all the latest trends together: lace, ruffles, short and sweet, and makes for some stunning photographs from Jonny Draper. Meanwhile, Confetti caught up with Charlotte for some top tips for 2012 brides.
What’s hot for spring/summer 2012? It’s still lace… lace and more lace!. I have been doing my vintage-inspired lace gowns for many seasons and each year they get more popular and my designs more beautiful, I have evolved the styles and fabrics and the 2012 lace gowns are just divine.
Favourite trend of the year? It’s got to be that the short dress is back and it’s here to stay! I adore the short styles, I am a big fan of the 1950’s style full skirt and tea length gowns. I have a new gown called Love Heart in the collection in a beautiful soft French lace, the style, shape and fabric is still very bridal, but with the shorter length it makes it a little more on trend for those fashion-conscious brides. I love the shorter styles so much that I have really gone for it and done a very cute and fun playsuit called Lollipop… it really is as sweet as it sounds!
