How did your partner (or you) propose?
We meet in Barcelona January ’06 while I was studying there and he was working. On one of our dates he took me to Tibidabo ‐ a beautiful cathedral on top of a hill with magnificent views of Barcelona, we joked and had a pretend ceremony at the alter. In October ’07 he took me back and in the same place at the alter, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was very romantic. That evening he took me to a flemenco evening with amazing food and entertainment. The whole day was perfect.
Who did you share the news of your engagement with first?
My Mum! But of course, she already knew
Describe your ring.
It’s half a carat, round stone set in a four clasp white gold ring
Did you help choose the ring?
No, he did it all by himself and the ring is perfect
Will your partner wear an engagement ring as well?
No, we cant really afford it but he has an heirloom his mum gave him and he is wearing that
Did you have an engagement party?
We got to together with both families (it was the first time they met) and had a celebration meal

All close family, there were about 11
When do you plan to marry?
We have got a beautiful place booked for 6th June 09
What are you looking forward to the most about planning a wedding?
The dress! But also making sure it’s a memorable day for everyone
