How did your partner (or you) propose?
I took My Fiance to a night of Fine Dining at Michael Caines Restaurant and a night at the Abode Hotel in Manchester for New Years Eve Celebrations. After 4 and a half hours of the meal (dont ask!) we were quietly sat in a Booth in the Bar in the Abode Hotel and as the DJ and everyone counted down… I fumbled around in my pocket for the ring box (which had been poking me all night!)… and I turned to Fran and said, “Will you do the honour of spending the rest of your life with me? ‐ Will you Marry Me?”.. She said …”Errr… Go on then”!
Who did you share the news of your engagement with first?
Shared the news with the In‐Laws (Mum & Dad) and our best man ( her brother which is also my Best Friend) and … pretty much everyone on our phones! ‐ sending picture message of the ring!

Did you help choose the ring?
My Fiance twisted my arm as I had two rings picked ‐ this wasnt the contender…. but we chose the right one ‐ together!
Will your partner wear an engagement ring as well?
I am getting the next best thing ‐ I am getting Fran’s name around my wedding finger as my engagement ring and as a sign of my love for her!
Did you have an engagement party?
we are having a KARAOKE / DISCO engagement Party on 29th Jan 2010 ‐ (Karaoke was my idea!)

…..around 80 invited but catering for about 100
Did you have a particular theme for your party?
FUN…. and dancing…. and obviously drink and CELEBRATIONS!!!

What are you looking forward to the most about planning a wedding?
Well we are definately in control with this ‐ we already have chosen the Invitations and have bought THE DRESS and we are enjoying the planning ‐ so much so My Fiance is taking courses to learn to be a Wedding Planner and we intend to open a shop!
