Matt and I had been speaking on the phone in work and at home for about 6months before we actually met .Being 20years old we both thought that it was a bit of fun until we realised that we were in love.
Matt proposed to me firstly over the phone in work but I just thought that he was joking!! Until he made the drive down from Gloucester to Barry Town as he would every Friday with a box of Milk Tray and an Engagement Ring wrapped in the box.
He kept asking i’d like a chocolate and we nearly argued because I didn’t want one!
But lets just say that I’m glad I did when I opened the box and saw the ring I turned to Matt and he said ” I love you and I want to never be apart again Will You Marry Me?” and of course I said yes.
I’m now living in Gloucester and we are getting married back in Wales 1st June 2002. And I don’t regret a single thing.
