Lee and I had never met, although our families had been friends for over 20 years. When I met Lee in a pub with a few of my mates that was the beginning of our two-year relationship. When our families had found out how we had met and that we were dating they all said it was fate.
We had been going out for two years when Lee said he wasn’t sure how he felt anymore and needed a break. We were apart for 3 months when he said he had a made a big mistake and would do anything to make it up to me. We started again and said we would make a fresh start.
A month later Lee took me to Scotland for the weekend where all my family lived. We were ready to go out on the Saturday night when he got down on one knee and pulled out this amazing white gold solitaire and said’ Lisa I want you to be my wife, I realise now after our break that I never want to be without you’ Immediately I said yes through my tears and couldn’t wait to tell everyone. I even think our phone bill came to more than our hotel bill for the whole weekend.
When I came home from Scotland that weekend I can honestly say you could not have taken the smile of my face for a whole week.
I have come back down to earth now and am busy planning our engagement party. Lee and I now realise that we want to be together forever and nothing will come between us.
