How and when did you meet?
Seven years ago when we both worked together, I asked him out!

How old are you both?
25 and 29.

Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose?
3rd July 2005 on St. Andrews beach.

Did you have hen and stag celebrations? If so, what did you do?
I had two. One was a weekend at Langs Hotel in Glasgow. There were 30 of us for a meal and drinks in Edinburgh. As for the groom, all I know is he went to Glasgow…the rest is a secret!

How did your groom help with the wedding planning?
He turned up on the day.

Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you?
Yes, although I didn’t discover it until the final few months which was a shame.

Do you have a confetti web page?
Again I had my web page set up before I discovered confetti, but everyone should have one.

Did you buy any confetti products for your wedding? If so, did you visit a store, buy online or by mail order?
Lots…I found the stores great for table decor ideas and the online shop was fab as I work unsociable hours.

Tell us about your outfit, and where you bought it
My dress was by a designer called My Lady in Israel. However when the skirt arrived, I had it customised with hundreds of Swarovski crystals and detail. This was bought from Capri Skies in Glasgow.

Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear?
I had five Bridesmaids. Two cousins and three of my friends. They all wore long baby blue fishtail dresses with Swarovski crystals under the bust.

Who did your groom choose for his best man and ushers, and what did they wear?
He had his friend, Chris, as the best man and my brother, Jordan, as the best boy. All the men were in silver morning suits with cravats.

Did you have a civil or religious ceremony?
Civil Ceremony.

Where did you hold your ceremony?
Edinburgh Corn Exchange.

Where did you hold your reception?
Edinburgh Corn Exchange

Did you have any special wedding transport?
Myself and the bridesmaids and my mum all went in a stretch Chrysler and the men all went in a stretch Lincoln Navigator.

How many guests did you invite to your wedding, and did you have a separate evening guest list?
65 day guests and 160 evening guests.

Did your reception have a particular theme in terms of colour or style?
Yes, baby blue, white and diamonds!

How did you incorporate this in to your table settings?
White table cloths and chair covers with blue sashes. Swarovski crystal table diamonds, blue name plates with a crystal. Blue petals and candles in bowls.

Did you give your guests favours?
A gift bag with a “cry pack,” bottle of champagne bubbles and a CD which was played during the meal – only given to the females.

Describe your flowers (bouquets and table decorations). Who was your florist?
The bridesmaids and I had Swarovski crystal bouquets. These do not perish and were lovely and sparkly.

What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering?
Saltire Catering: cream of potato soup, choice of slow cooked beef in a red wine sauce or chicken in a creamy sweet pepper sauce. Belgian chocolate pot topped with fresh strawberries and cream.

What did you choose for your wedding cake, and who made it?
Breezy Cakes, Haddington. A tower of 65 individual chocolate pots topped with fresh strawberries and cream. These were served to everyone as dessert.

Did you have any entertainment during the day or evening?
We had a magician whilst the photographs were being taken, a chimney sweep appeared during the meal, a chocolate fountain, Blackjack table and a dancer in the evening who did a bit of robotics, break dancing and Michael Jackson moves.

Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with?
Argos

Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with?
The Howard Hotel in Edinburgh which was bought for us as a present. Then onto Cancun for 3 weeks

What was your most memorable moment of the day?
The ceremony was very emotional and special.

Did you experience any ‘nightmare’ moments in the run up to your wedding or on the day?
My dress was still too big on the Thursday afternoon, and Kenny’s ring didn’t arrive until the day before!

Is there anything you would do differently, or any advice you would give to other brides?
I tried to ensure all the “gaps” were filled during the day. It’s a long day for the guests and you want them to enjoy themselves. Someone told me a good wedding relies on good hard planning and I truly believe you get back what you put in.
