How and when did you meet?

We met over 5 years ago when I booked a holiday in the travel agents Nicky worked in. We then met later that night in a local club.

How old are you both?

25.

Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose?

He proposed Xmas Day, but was hung-over and could hardly speak! Not romantic at all!

Did you have hen and stag celebrations?

I went to Brighton for the weekend and did karting and went to bars in the evening. I also had a local hen night.
Nicky went to Southampton with 20 friends and they did paintball, karting & clubbing!

Did your groom help you with the wedding planning?

He helped pick the flowers, the first dance and ceremony music.

Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you?

Yes, I spent a lot of time on the message boards getting lots of advice!

Do you have a confetti web page?

No.

Did you buy any confetti products for your wedding? If so, did you visit a store, buy online or by mail order?

Yes, sweets for the favours and a few presents, all ordered online.

Tell us about your outfit, and where you bought it.

My dress was by Dzage. It was a 2-piece and very simple which I loved.

Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear?

Yes, I had my four sisters. Kelly and Lisa wore scarlet 2-piece dresses which I got in Debenhams in the sale for £25 each! Toni and Jodie had ivory dresses.

Who did your groom choose for his best man and ushers, and what did they wear?

His two brothers John & Billy. His ushers were James & Jamie and his brother-in-law Leighton.

Did you have a civil or religious ceremony?

Civil.

Where did you hold your ceremony?

Stock Brook Country Club, Queens Park Avenue, Stock.

Where did you hold your reception?

As above.

Did you have any special wedding transport?

My uncle drove my mum, dad & me in his Jag.

How many guests did you invite to your wedding, and did you have a separate evening guest list?

116 to the day and another 20 in the evening.

Did your reception have a particular theme in terms of colour or style?

Yes we had scarlet & red. In the evening we had pumpkins as it was the day before Halloween!

How did you incorporate this in to your table settings?

The table linen was ivory, the favours were scarlet & ivory and so were the flowers.

Did you give your guests favours?

Yes, the ladies had chocolates and love heart sweets. The men had chocolate footballs and love heart sweets and we had personalised gift bags made for the children. These had chocolate and toys in.

Describe your flowers (bouquets and table decorations). Who was your florist?

My bouquet was made up of red & ivory roses and lilies. The lilies were so I could remember my nan on the day as her name was Lilly. The bridesmaids in red had ivory roses and the ones in ivory had red roses.

What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering?

Potato & leek soup, chicken chasseur & profiteroles. I’m vegetarian and picked cheese & onion potato tart for the veggies. We also had an evening buffet and our guests still keep telling me how nice it was! The catering was all done by Stock Brook.

What did you choose for your wedding cake?

Our cake was made by Janet Brewer. The bottom tier was vanilla sponge, the middle tier chocolate sponge & the top was lemon.

Did you have any entertainment during the day or evening?

DJ in the evening.

Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with?

No, as we have been living together for a few years. People gave us money.

Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with?

The Ivy Hill hotel for our first night. We went to my uncle’s villa in Portugal for 10 days.

What was your most memorable moment of the day?

I have a few!
My friend did a reading in the ceremony and we both started laughing and couldn’t stop!
The DJ played ‘I’m forever Blowing Bubbles’ as I support West Ham. We had half the room singing and dancing and the other half booing us!
Of course being pronounced husband & wife!

Did you experience any ‘nightmare’ moments in the run up to your wedding or on the day?

No, the only problem on the day was the photographer didn’t take all the photos I asked for.

Is there anything you would do differently, or any advice you would give to other brides?

No, we loved the day. Just enjoy every moment of it!
