Get a Second Job!

This bride-to-be quit her job to focus on wedding planning. Okay, so you can secretly plan your wedding at work, but it is a lot like a full-time job. However, she then expected her fiancé to take on an extra job to fund her big day!

“HELP I NEED ADVICE. My fiancé and I are having lots of issues right now, we can’t stop fighting and I don’t know what to do.

“I quit my job because wedding planning was taking up so much time, and my fiancé is refusing to get a second job.

“He doesn’t understand that I don’t have time to get ready for work, drive to work, be somewhere else all day and drive home.

“I need to be HOME to plan this wedding. I’m trying to find a job from home but it is difficult.

“I asked him to get a second job and he won’t. It really p***es me off because we are spending $80,000 on this wedding and he keeps saying we should spend less.

“UH, HELLO, NO. This is MY WEDDING I have been dreaming of since I was little and I REFUSE to have anything but my dream wedding.

“How can I convince him to work a second job to pay for this? What happened to “happy wife, happy life”??????????”

Reddit Bridezillas: The Coronavirus Edit

The global pandemic of COVID-19 has added even more pressure to brides and grooms around the world. Whilst many are facing cancelling their wedding due to coronavirus, some are going full steam ahead, like this absolute charmer of a Reddit bridezilla whose Facebook status was screenshotted and shared to Reddit by one (rightfully) peeved guest…

“PEOPLE, PLEASE, PLEEEASSSEEEEE EDUCATE YOURSELVES! THE MEDIA IS MAKING MILLIONS OF DOLLARS THROUGH HYSTERIA. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE INTO THIS IGNORANCE. KNOW THE FACTS.

“IF YOU CONTRIBUTE TO AFFECTING MY WEDDING, I WILL DELETE YOU AND YOUR IGNORANCE OUT OF MY FACEBOOK FEED

“IF YOU DON’T HAVE AN EXISTING HEALTH CONDITION YOU JUST HAVE TO WASH YOUR FREAKIN’ HANDS AND YOU WILL BE 0.9% CHANCE OF GETTING THE VIRUS!!!”

Polygraph Party

Perhaps one of the most insane Reddit bridezillas of all time, this blushing bride caught wind that someone had shared her dress code demands on Reddit and she didn’t just get mad, she also got even by announcing a polygraph party to find out who did the dirty on her…

Yep. She went there with that culture line. And just so you know what the ‘snitch’ leaked, it was this crazy dress code, which was shockingly based on weight:

WOMEN 100-160lbs:
– GREEN Velvet Sweater
– ORANGE Suede Pants
– Louboutin Heels (the famous RED heeled shoes. when we spin and lift our feet, the effect will amaze you)
– Burberry Scarf

MEN 100-200lbs:
– PURPLE Fuzzy Jacket
– Soda Hat
– All White Trainers
– Plain Glow Sticks

WOMEN 160lbs+:
– all BLACK sweater and pants. Any material
– BLACK Heels

MEN 200lbs+:
– all CAMOFLAGE
– BLACK sneakers

Children:
– RED from head to toe. Remember the kids will form the shape of a heart it needs to be true red not blood orange or some b*******.

Not on My Day

It’s natural to want to be the centre of attention on your wedding day…and guess what, you definitely will be! You don’t need to do what this Reddit bridezilla did and ban one of her guests from wearing their engagement ring or even talking about her own engagement…

So I was going to my fiancé’s cousins wedding on the weekend.

2 weeks ago she messaged me telling me not to wear my engagement ring or talk about my engagement on her special day. I was a little taken aback but I guess she was the bride and I was talking to one of the other girls coming saying I was a little sad since I hadn’t taken off my ring since I got it and she said she wasn’t told she couldn’t wear her ring or talk about her engagement at the wedding in fact the bride is happy for her to talk about it and even was going to announce it at the reception. I wasn’t going to be bringing up my engagement at the wedding but you know conversation does come up.

I messaged the bride about how I was a little hurt and confused and she told me not to come at all then. My fiancé went but I didn’t. All night my fiancé was bombarded with questions. “Where is your fiancé?” “Why wasn’t she allowed?” “How did the engagement happen?” “Do you have a video?” The bride wasn’t happy at all.

The Worst of Reddit Bridezillas

If you’ve just found a new obsession, we get it. This thread has plenty more stories – and here are a couple of highlights:

Hair Raising

I’m a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding. Without asking the bride, I cut off all my hair – which in turn made her very upset because I didn’t ask her permission. Does anyone have any Bridezilla stories?

So a few weeks before the actually ceremony I decided to knuckle cut off all of my hair because the heat was unbearable. When my friend, the bride, saw it, she was really upset with me because she envisioned all of the bridesmaids with up-dos (which I never knew about that). If I had asked for her permission to cut my hair, I would have found out and been denied. Does anyone else have any over-the-top bridezilla stories?

Don’t Dye

Similar story. At a wedding I went to the bride replaced a bridesmaid of hers at the last minute because she dyed her hair a slightly lighter brown the night before. Apparently it didn’t match the dress, which was bright pink.

Tent Vent

I used to work for a tent company and we would set up for weddings. One in particular comes to mind….

It was 95 degrees out, middle of July, and we were all suffering. This was a large wedding, with a large tent, stage, dance floor, tables, chairs, plates, silverware, lights, ect.

We arrived at her parents’ house at 7am. She was all nice and calm, said that she would buy us all lunch (6 or 7 guys) at around noon to thank us for our hard work. She also said that she would bring us water since it was so hot out and we could tap into the keg when we were done. Great deal right?

Wrong. About noon we had gotten the tent up, the lighting done, the stage and dance floor partially set up. She came running out saying that we needed to move the tent 3 feet. Yes, we needed to move the 240′ by 60′ tent 3 feet. My initial response was, “are you kidding me?” She wasn’t. After talking it over with her we decided to move the tent (we had too, the customer is always right even when they say this is where I want the tent to go, we put it up and she changes her mind). We take it down, move the tent 3 feet and put it back up. It is now pushing 8 pm. Still no water, lunch or dinner. 10 pm rolls around and we are unloading tables. She comes storming out saying, “You are making too much noise!!! BE QUIET.”

One guy I worked with asked, “Can we please get some water now, we drank all of the water that we brought”

She goes, “Umm…. The hose is around back, take some but not too much, water is expensive.”

We never got a lunch, dinner or beer. This lady was a b****. We worked from 7 am to 11 pm at her house (not to mention the 45ish minute drive to and from her house). I never had a problem with working those type of hours if people tipped us, gave us food and thanked us. She didn’t do anything.

Cinderella Bridesmaid

My best friend, who is normally very sweet and quiet, was quite rude when she got married. First she told me when I would be having her bridal shower (set a date without consulting me in any way) at my house, and what I would be serving. I was in the middle of my honors year of my bachelor degree in another city (15 hour drive away), and she set the date for right in the middle of exams.

She also planned on making all sorts of things for her wedding to save money (aisle runner, center pieces, arch, veil etc.). I came into town the night before the wedding, and she says to me: “I didn’t have time to get anything made, so I need you to do it.” I stayed up all night sewing and arranging flowers while she slept.

It was in the middle of winter and when we arrived at the hall the floor hadn’t been cleaned and was covered with salt stains. There was nothing to clean it with but a bucket and a cloth. So after staying up working all night, I had to clean a floor on my hands and knees. I was exhausted, sore and hated every minute of her wedding.

I didn’t talk to her for months after that.
