We met… At a party
The proposal… We were on an Alaskan cruise with Steve’s family and decided to have a romantic dinner with snow crabs legs. The proposal came on a nice desert plate in a form of chocolate writing with the question ‘Will you marry me?’
Length of engagement… 9 months
My dress was… By designer Sue Wong. I bought it online and it fit me perfectly. I was looking for a light vintage, romantic style.
Our wedding ceremony was… At Hotel Pantheon Villas Santorini. It was a symbolic ceremony with 22 guests. The wedding took place during the sunset predicted perfectly by our wedding planner Olympia from Marryme in Greece. Guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to.
Our wedding photographer was… Creative Shotz. The photographer was very friendly to work. with.
Our wedding reception was held at… Pantheon villas Santorini. Olympia from Marryme recommended the venue and it was chosen among other various locations proposed. It was beautiful and our favourite part of the wedding.
Our wedding theme was… Light blue
Our Wedding Cake was… A 3 tiered white and light blue cake, with flowers to match with my theme.
Did anything funny or unusual happen at your wedding? I had Greek dancers as a surprise for my guests and when the music started and the dancers came in, my uncle came out to the middle of the dance floor and performed an excellent Greek dance. I was definitely surprised, we’ve never seen him dancing.
Our first dance was… Titanium by David Guetta, the Bachata version to make it more interesting. Since I know Latin dance I tried to teach my fiancée a bachata dance.
Our wedding was unique and special because… We had our closest friends and family overseas with us.
What is your advice for other brides? Don’t stress, the best way to deal with this is to delegate a lot of tasks to a professional wedding planner like Olympia Giannopoulou from Marryme in Greece.
