1. Classic Wedding Dresses

A classic bridal gown will never go out of fashion. Our most recent royal wedding saw Princess Kate wear an elegant, A-line lace wedding dress with a nipped-in waist, just as Princess Grace of Monaco did some half a century before her. Whether strapless and simple or delicately embroidered and with pretty sleeves, the beauty of a classic gown for most brides is that it can be kept for future generations.

A classic wedding would not be complete without a ring cushion to keep the wedding rings safe and also perhaps provide an added element to your ceremony for a little page boy.

Decorate reception tables with neat little white favour boxes tied with satin ribbons and surround with scattered crystal and white or metallic table confetti; elegant glowing candles will complete the look.

Your classic wedding cake is likely to be three tiers and iced in white, decorated with either fresh or sugar craft flowers or a romantic bride and groom cake topper.

4. Classic Bridal Hair and Beauty

Bridal beauty is usually fairly minimal, to enhance the bride’s natural beauty. Often the bride’s hair is swept up off her face, perhaps in a classic chignon as above, – a very neat bun onto which a tiara can be placed.  A long veil will complement the look as will delicate pearl earrings or a necklace, with a French manicure to finish off the style.

5. Classic Wedding Drinks

A classic first reception drink to serve your guests is a refreshing champagne with orange juice, also known as Bucks Fizz.  It is usual to serve a choice of red or white wine with the wedding breakfast with Champagne for the toasts. Have personalised labels for your table wine and water bottles and set your place cards on each glass for pretty, coordinated reception tables.

6. Classic Wedding Flowers

White roses are symbolic of purity and their delicate beauty and scent means they have long been the bridal bloom of choice for classic brides. The rose is still our favourite flower for bouquets, buttonholes, corsages and venue decoration

7. Classic Wedding Cars
