Viktor&Rolf ‘Mariage’ Fragrances For Your Wedding Day

Viktor&Rolf put fragrances at the centre of wedding celebrations and wedding anniversaries. With the Viktor&Rolf ‘Mariage’ fragrances, there’s a scent for every one.

Viktor&Rolf is the avant-garde luxury fashion house founded in 1993 by fashion artists Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren. The maison, recognised and respected for its provocative Haute Couture and conceptual glamour launched their first Mariage Collection in April 2016 in collaboration with Justin Alexander and continue to present an artistic interpretation of bridalwear adhering to the label’s unexpected elegance.

Utilising the French pronunciation, and spelling, of ‘Mariage’, the collection’s name hints at the brand’s standing as an Haute Couture Maison. From the success of their spectacular Mariage dresses, Viktor&Rolf’s bestselling fragrances Flowerbomb and Spicebomb are presented as the perfect gift scents for your wedding day.

For the bride

Launched in 2005, Flowerbomb is the iconic, transformative olfactory potion that, with its profusion of flowers, has the power to make everything seem more positive. Over the years, Flowerbomb has revealed itself as the perfect wedding fragrance — obvious for a perfume linked to love and dreams.

“With our fragrance collection, we wanted to present a dream in which opposites intertwine and explode into a bouquet of sensations,” state Horsting and Snoeren.

“We designed Flowerbomb by taking flowers to their very limits, studying every single facet of a bouquet,” explains Olivier Polge, one of the three perfumers behind the fragrance, the others being Carlos Benaïm and Domitille Bertier. “The main idea was a 1000 fleurs of freesia, rose, jasmin, and more.”

Viktor & Rolf wanted to create a perfume in the same way as their couture: a foundation that needed to be decorated, Fascinated by flowers, V&R researched the idea of a flower bomb, an explosion of petals with an exceptional fragrant trail and volume. Such a brief for a perfumer is indeed a rare gift today: a thousand flowers in just one bottle: the ultimate luxury!

Full-bodied and opulent, Flowerbomb explodes into a bouquet of sensations with its addictive floral notes which leave their trail, like a whirlwind that is distinctly couture and a natural bridal fragrance for your wedding day.

This year, Viktor&Rolf expressed their commitment to love with a number of activations, meant to highlight one’s
scent journey to finding the perfect gift for both wedding celebrations and anniversaries. An elegant white
embroidered veil decorates the iconic bottle of the limited edition Flowerbomb ready to say ‘Yes, I do’ and a series
of ‘Dress Up Your Bottle’ accessories for both Flowerbomb and Spicebomb will customise your favourite fragrances for your wedding day.

For the groom

In 2012, when Viktor&Rolf launched their first men’s fragrance, they wanted the scent to be as surprising as Flowerbomb. Sharp and radiant, Spicebomb is an explosive concentrate of masculine sensuality. Spices play the leading role: they shake up, disrupt and bring out other, more enveloping facets. A powerful explosive of spices, strengthened by a burst of freshness.

Like Flowerbomb, Spicebomb exerts its bold facets to accompany couples throughout their unions, from wedding celebrations to wedding anniversaries.

Surprising at first breath, addictive from the very next second, Spicebomb finds the perfect balance between strength and elegance, intensity and subtlety. Driven by a distinctively singular olfactory signature, it leaves its mark like a new surge of energy and style.

A cocktail of virility, crafted with refinement by Viktor&Rolf, Spicebomb reveals masculinity from every angle and is the perfect wedding fragrance for your groom.

Flowerbomb and Spicebomb enhance and epitomise the power of seduction of the one who commits to a forever-lasting union. These glamourous weapons of seduction will celebrate love with their explosive scents.

For the bridesmaids

Bonbon is composed of sparkling, effervescent mandarin and orange slices – crystalised into crackling pieces of caramel wrapping succulent fruit – ideal for your bridesmaids.

The sweetness of paradise peach accord flirts tenderly with supple caramel notes, clinging to the roundness of peach’s fleecy surface. Sun-filled jasmine is sustained by orange blossom whose sweet flavour clings to the soft smell of caramel.

Finally, gaïc and cedar woods blend into the base note to achieve a surprising balance between smooth, creamy, milky sandalwood notes and the upright, stronger and darker notes of woody amber.

Caramel characterises the scent’s evolution. From inception to completion, the caramel notes mature from a sharp, edible top note to softer and milkier in the middle then darkening to add depth to the base note.

Traditionally reserved for delectably indulgent moments, bonbons are sweet and satisfying. Handcrafted bonbons are miniature quests for taste and bring quality to the mouth in the form of pure sensation.

Caramel notes translate this into an olfactory experience whilst harkening a sense of comfort for the traditional gourmandise ingredients of sugar and butter for your sweet bridesmaids and flower girls.
