From sparkly flip flops for a beach wedding, to va va voom heels for an evening reception, there’s oodles of choice and something to suit every style.

Prom style dresses are very popular for 2010, and give the chance to show off gorgeous sleek legs and some very chic footwear! Opt for 50’s style sling backs to bring the look together, or for comfort and style in the very latest satin trainers – see Bonnie from Rainbow Club for a gorgeous, glam trainer with stunning silver eyelets.

Eager to shine on your wedding day? Opt for metallics and bling with the very latest styles, studded with crystal and seen everywhere from catwalk to high street. Coloured shoes look good with white or coloured dresses and can of course be worn again, so go for this season’s perfect nudes in soft shades of oyster pink, pale gold and pearl grey or dazzle your guests with sizzling shades of fuchsia pink, emerald green and sea blue. Rainbow Club offers a hand dying service, meaning you can tailor your look from top to toe, and high street stores such as Kurt Geiger, Dune, and Pied A Terre offer a delicious collection of satin and bejewelled shoes just perfect for the ceremony and for a spot of dancing at the reception!

Getting married in the country? Why not go for it in a pair of wellies trimmed with marabou or ribbons? A summer wedding calls for strappy sandals – look for styles with ribbons tied up the leg, gladiator style, or opt for chic ballet flats in sherbet shades if your man is a little on the, ahem, short side.

Whatever you desire, try on your shoes with the dress before the big day, apply softening moisturiser to your feet and legs for at least a fortnight beforehand, and indulge in a pedicure to make sure your feet are looking lovelier than ever. Go easy on the fake tan – it’s easy to get it wrong on your feet, and practise walking in your shoes on a soft carpet so that you are poised, preened and perfect all day long, and ladies, don’t forget to send us your pics for our gorgeous real life brides gallery.
