We have to thank Algarve Wedding Photography for giving us the opportunity to share Laura and Mark’s beautiful wedding. From the stunning sun soaked beach venue, to the elegant lace gown and of course the gorgeous couple themselves it’s easy to see why their guest called this wedding ‘Perfect.’ Keep an eye out for the photo booth pictures, they’re the best we’ve seen in a long time!
Bride and Groom… Laura & Mark
Wedding date… Sunday 1st September 2013
We met… at a wine bar near to where we live. He used his best lines on me and it looks like they worked! We went for a drink a week after and really clicked. There was chemistry between us from the start.
The proposal… Mark proposed in La Zenia, Spain June 2012. Mark created a circle out of candles and lit up a section of a private beach. In the middle of the circle Mark got down on one knee. I was very impressed!
We knew it was ‘the one’… It was quite early on, we clicked from the start.
Length of engagement… 14 months
My dress was… designed by Justin Alexandra. My Auntie has a wedding shop, Bell Amore in Bexley Heath so I had the VIP treatment from start to finish. I was spoilt for choice with so many beautiful dresses to choose from. The one I chose stood out from the start. I tried on about 5 or 6 other dresses but none compared to the one I had already chosen. My mum, auntie, cousin and sisters were all moved when I came out in my dress. They were all in agreement that it was ‘the one’.
Our wedding ceremony was… held at Vila Vita Parc, Porches, We had a civil ceremony for 80 guests within the gardens of the venue facing out on to the sea.

Our wedding reception was… Vila Vita Parc, I found Vila Vits Parc online. We flew out to see the venue and we both fell in love with it.
Our groomsmen were… Marks brothers and best friend, we had 4 groomsmen in total.
Our bridesmaids were… my sisters and my cousins, we had 5 bridesmaids.
Our wedding photographer was… Garrett Walsh from Algarve Wedding Photography. Garrett is a really nice guy and captured some great moments.

Our wedding theme was… navy blue. Mark and I love beaches so our tables were named after our favourite beaches that we had visited.
What was your favourite part of the wedding? It’s difficult to pin point one part of the wedding, it was all special in different ways. We both enjoyed every minute of the day, it was amazing.
Our wedding was unique and special because… it was our dream wedding. Family and friends complimented us on the perfect day.
Our first dance was… Can’t Help Falling In Love with You by Elvis Presley.
Our honeymoon was… After flying back to the UK from Portugal we went to Las Vegas, Hawaii and Los Angeles. We would definitely recommend these destinations. Vegas was party time and a little gambling. Hawaii was more relaxing, it is a beautiful place. Waikiki beach is amazing. Los Angeles was great for seeing the sights.
