You’re going to love this week’s purple and gold themed wedding. Precious and Jerald did a magnificent job bringing this regal affair to life. We particularly fell in love with the bridesmaids rich purple dresses and amazing gold sparkling shoes!

Wedding date… Saturday 7th June 2014
The Proposal
Jerald took me to London on the first day of Christmas. We went on a tour of St Pauls Cathedral and he got down on one knee and popped the question.
The Bridesmaids
I had 8 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls.They wore loose purple chiffon dresses. I wanted something comfortable that would suit them all. They had foam flower bouquets, I had made them so that they could take them home as keepsakes after and were very affordable.
The Wedding Ceremony
We had our religious ceremony at St Peters Church, Scorton in Preston. We invited 150 guests and added a hint of Africa to the service. Walking down the aisle with my dad was one of my favourite moments from the wedding.
The Photographer
Our photographer was Bryan Farrell from Wedding Photographers Southport. He was recommended by our wedding Videographer and he took pictures of my bridal shower which we loved. We picked Bryan because he was easy to get along with and listened to what we wanted.
The Reception
Was at the Garstang Golf & Country Club. It a recommendation and when we saw it we fell in love. It was the first and only venue we looked at, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our theme for the day was purple and gold. We decide to have 250 cupcakes, with variety of flavours; we had carrot as the top cake with coffee, vanilla, chocolate and fruit cupcakes.
My Advice
I would say to all the other brides planning their wedding, start planning early and ask for help. You’ll be surprised how much people are willing to offer.
