To create a stunning wedding table, one of the best tips we can offer is to consider layers. Whether you’re creating complex centrepieces or you’re planning your guests’ place settings, layering is the key to texture and depth. Napkin rings are one of the smallest wedding reception accessories, but they can make a huge difference. That’s why, today, we’ll show you how to layer colours and textures to make beautiful, budget-friendly, DIY lace flower napkin rings.
What You’ll Need:
To get the same effect we have, you’ll need:
- Small Decorative Rolled Fabric Lace Flowers
- Gold Craft Wire
- Faux Flowers in a colour/colours of your choice (ours are mauve-coloured!)
- Gold Leaves
- A Glue Gun
Instructions
Step 1: Use your gold craft wire to create a ring that’s approximately 2 inches in diameter. We advise that you wear protective gloves to do this—some wire can be very sharp and rigid.
Step 2: Use your glue gun to attach a lace flower to the gold ring. To make sure the flower is secure, hold it down for about half a minute.
Step 3: Add in your faux flowers and gold leaves and secure with glue.

More Ideas:
Make sure you experiment with this DIY, because there are so many different things you can do with the concept; use different colours, fabrics, and even materials to achieve the result you want. For example, instead of lace flowers, which offer a vintage or bohemian look, use burlap flowers or silk flowers for a shabby chic or garden theme. Add a touch of glamour to your napkin rings with tiny diamante needles or crystal garlands, or accessorise with charms like our small antique keys!
