As hens become more demanding and group sizes become even bigger, it may be a bit of a challenge to organise the perfect hen weekend for the bride-to-be! Often when you don’t necessarily know all of the girls who are going, it is difficult to decide on an activity that everyone will love. However, our tip for organisers is generally to concentrate on what the bride-to-be wants. All of the other girls are there to celebrate her last night of freedom, so if she is happy then they should be too!

Girly Hen Party Activities
Pampering is a traditional activity on hen weekends and rightly so! You are away from everything, having fun with the girls and getting ready for a massive night out – what better than to treat yourself with a relaxing spa day! Ideal to either get yourself feeling gorgeous for your night out, or to recover from a monster hangover, the sauna is your best friend on your hen weekend. If a full spa day isn’t what you fancy, you could just book some treatments, go for a fish pedicure or perhaps organise a makeover to get all of the girls looking and feeling gorgeous for your night out.
Active Hen Groups
If the girls want to get the adrenalin pumping, there are loads of options available. You can show the stags how it’s done with paintballing, shooting, karting, quad biking or assault courses. Some locations also have more niche activities available like zorbing. Whatever you choose, an active day of fun is a brilliant idea for a hen party, especially if not everyone in the party knows each other – these sporty activities are great for ice-breaking and bonding the group.
Naughty Hen Parties
It’s not just stags who get to see some nudity on their last night of freedom… Sexy guys are also available for hen groups who are looking for some naughty antics on their girly weekend! You can choose from butlers in the buff, a strip cabaret show or nude life drawing – a great excuse to really study the male anatomy! For something a little more cheeky, hen parties can also do a seduction or foreplay class, learning some sexy tricks, or a burlesque class where the bride-to-be will also get a lap dancing lesson for her lucky groom!
Foodie Hen Groups
If your girls are food-lovers then there are loads of edible activities available to keep them happy! You can choose from chocolate making where you get to make and keep a massive box of truffles, cupcake decorating while you sip on cocktails, or a cooking lesson with a choice of delicious dishes to learn how to create. If you fancy sitting back and relaxing with your food, there are loads of special hen night offers at top restaurants, or often aboard a river or sea cruise. Alternatively you could perhaps enjoy a super-girly afternoon tea, sipping on earl grey as you enjoy a good gossip!
Party Crazy Hen Activities
If your girls are just looking for a crazy weekend with nights out galore, you can entice them into some daytime activities that will get them raring to go on their big night out! Alcohol-based activities are always really popular, such as cocktail making and wine tasting. Alternatively, you could do a dance class and learn a routine to bust out on the dance floor later! Some of the most popular dance classes include pole dancing, girl band and Grease. You can even request a custom-choreographed class for the bride-to-be’s favourite songs.
Most Memorable Hen Parties
Perfect for girls who want some mementos to take home from the weekend away, why not sign everyone up for a recording studio session where you take your songs home on a disk (to be revealed by the DJ at the wedding?!) If singing isn’t your thing then perhaps a makeover and photoshoot, and all the girls can take home a gorgeous photo of the group. For a more extravagant option, you could book the group in for a pop video experience, where a choreographer will create a pop video for the hen’s favourite song, with you girls as the starring cast! A stylist, makeup artist and director are also on hand to ensure the video is perfect.
