Simple and sweet! In this DIY article we’ll show you how, with even minimum materials, you can still get that creative look if you use just a little bit of imagination! So–here we demonstrate how with only one box and a bit of ribbon you can make some stunning ribbon boxes that are perfect for wedding favours or table decoration. The possibilities are endless!
Box 1 – Something Blue
What you’ll need:
white favour box, satin ribbon (two shades of blue and white), scissors and a glue gun.
How to achieve the look:
Step 1: cross wrap your darkest shade of blue ribbon, finishing it off at the bottom of the box for a seamless top finish.
Step 2: loop your darkest shade of ribbon two or three times. Make sure the length of your formation is in proportion to your favor box.
Step 3: repeat step 2 on your lighter shade of blue ribbon.
Step 4: overlap your two looped formations, darkest on bottom, and tie together with white ribbon. Snip off any access white ribbon so that only a wrap remains.
Steps 5 & 6: tie a strip of white ribbon into a double bow, keeping size in proportion to your blue ribbons and your favour box.
Step 7: glue your layered blue ribbons vertically to the middle of your box.
Step 8: glue your white double bow horizontally to the middle point of your blue ribbons.

Look 2- Lovely Rosettes
What you’ll need:
white favour box, satin ribbon (two shades of peach ), scissors and a glue gun.
How to achieve the look:
Step 1: cross your two shades of ribbon at the top left corner of your box, finishing the wrap off on the bottom of the box for a seamless top finish.
Step 2: cut a strip of your darker ribbon, approximately 20 inches in length, and twist it.
Step 3: tie the ends to hold the twist.
Steps 4 – 6: twist the ribbon around itself to create a rosette and glue at the finish point.
Step 7 (not shown): repeat steps 2 – 6 on your lighter shade of ribbon, using a shorter length for a smaller finish, approximately half of what was used for the larger rosette.
Step 8: glue rosettes onto your box, larger one over the point where your two wraps join and the smaller one just below that point, slightly to the right.

Box 3- Satin Button Charm
What you’ll need:
white favour box, satin ribbon (two shades of purple and white), scissors and a glue gun.
How to achieve the look:
Step 1: wrap all three shades of ribbon around your box vertically, from darkest to lightest, overlapping each slightly. Finish wrap up on the bottom of the box for a seamless finish on top.
Step 2: cut your darkest ribbon into a strip that is approximately 70 inches long and roll into a button shape. This will be your largest button.
Step 3 & 4 (not shown): repeat step 2 on your other two ribbons. Make your lighter shade of purple button smaller than your darkest and make your white the smallest.
Step 5: glue all three satin buttons to your box, positioning as shown in the image above.

Step 4: bend your crinkle cut ribbons over and arrange them into a bouquet like shape. Make sure to alternate the direction the crinkle cuts face.
Step 5: tie off your bouquet with the white ribbon, just slightly above the middle point.
Step 6: glue your bouquet to your box at an angle, pointing slightly downward to the bottom left corner of your box.
