Five A-List Hen Dos…And How Much They Cost

When you factor in the location, the hen party accessories and all the prosecco, hen dos can be a costly business. We teamed up with hen party planners Red7 to look into the cost of some of the most fabulous A-list hen dos around – how does yours compare?

A-List hen do

Meghan Markle’s Hen Do

The royal wedding was kept under wraps, but from what we’ve been able to glean, it took place at the seriously luxe Soho Farmhouse. The exact guest list is unknown, but the likes of Millie Mackintosh and Jessica Mulroney were rumoured to be in attendance.

Assuming Meghan had the average number of hen party guests, which is 12 according to Red7, the cost breakdown may have looked a little like the below:

Boutique cabin prices = start at £350 per night

Full body massage at Cowshed spa = £160pp

Afternoon tea for 12 = £25pp

3 course meal in the Main Barn restaurant = £42pp

12 bottles of Tignanello = £135 each

Total: £8,544

Kim Kardashian’s Bachelorette Party

It’s fair to say Kim K is no stranger to planning a wedding, but she really pushed the boat out when it came to her pre-wedding celebrations with Kanye West. She took 20 friends on a trip to Paris and rocked a Balmain dress which cost a cool £14,400.

Suite at the Four Seasons George V hotel = start at £16,950 per night

She had 15 bottles of Veuve Clicquot champagne sent to her room = £44 per bottle

Meal at Hotel Costes = €100 (£87) per person

Total: £33,791

Elizabeth Hurley’s Hen Party

Liz Hurley is all about the glamour, so of course she had a private Versace fashion show as her hen party. If she had the average number of hens at her celebration, enjoying champagne, nibbles, beauty treatments and a free dress for each guest at a budget of £3,000 per person, her hen do could have cost around £36,000!

Kate Moss’s Festival Hen Do

A cocktail making master class just wouldn’t do for Mossy – this rock and roll bride took 30 of her closest friends to the Isle of Wight festival, with VIP passes, natch, and treated them all to a stay in the Priory Bay Hotel.

VIP Festival tickets = £585 each

15 rooms at the Priory Bay Hotel for 3 nights = prices start at £10,800

2 pink hummers = £950

160 bottles of Mahiki Rum = £17 per bottle

Helicopter to fly over Mahiki Rum = £5133

Total: £40,663

Coleen Rooney’s Multiple Hen Dos

We all know Coleen loves a holiday, so it’s not surprising to discover that her multiple hen dos included a Miami trip, a holiday in Tenerife and a spa break and night out in Manchester. This totals a casual £54,700…NBD.

Holiday to Miami with 5 friends, flights and 5-star villa = £3,500

Holiday to Tenerife with 3 friends, staying in an apartment = £300pp

Spa day and a night out in Manchester = £50,000

Total: £54,700
