Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have chosen the royal wedding flowers. Self-trained florist Philippa Craddock will be in charge of the floral decorations at the couple’s wedding on the 19th May in Windsor.
The couple have opted for white garden roses, peonies and foxgloves to adorn their big day. Meghan Markle has previously spoken out on social media regarding her love for peonies, declaring they make her ‘endlessly happy’.
Soon after the couple started dating, Meghan posted a picture of a bunch of pink and white peonies on her now-defunct Instagram page, stating that she was ‘swooning’ over them, and used the hashtag ‘#spoiltrotten’, which suggests Prince Harry has long been aware of her love of the blooms.

Speaking of the opportunity to work on the royal wedding flowers, florist Philippa Craddock stated: “I am excited and honoured to have been chosen by Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle to design and create their wedding flowers. Working with them has been an absolute pleasure. The process has been highly collaborative, free-flowing, creative and fun. The final designs will represent them as a couple, which I always aim to achieve in my work, with local sourcing, seasonality and sustainability being at the forefront.”
After the wedding, the royal wedding flowers will be distributed to charitable organisations.
