Buckminster Estate comprises of two spectacular wedding venues.  The first being,  Buckminster Barn (situated over 2 floors), which is a charming and rustic barn conversion, situated in the quintessentially British Buckminster village, perfect for couples desiring an idyllic, traditional and country style wedding venue.

The Barns distinctly traditional features, including exposed oak wooden beams, flag-stone flooring, and a wood-burning stove provide for a country-life feel. The abundance of windows provide panoramic views over endlessly rolling countryside and the tri-folding doors allow guests to wander outside to enjoy the beautiful setting.  Guests may be entertained at a drinks reception within Buckminster Barn’s ‘Old Cart Shed’ room, or if the weather is suitable drinks can be served on the front lawn or on the Village Green.

Buckminster Barn’s ‘Old Hay Loft’ situated upstairs, offers rustic, exposed beams and glorious views of the surrounding area.  This space can seat up to 80 daytime guests for a wedding breakfast.  Wedding parties with a larger number of daytime guests and who wish to bring the outside in have the option of hiring a marquee.

The second of their wedding venues, Buckminster Park & Lakeside is an exclusive wedding site that presents an exquisite and romantic setting. With access via a private driveway through stunning countryside, opening out onto the beautiful lakeside.  The site offers large open areas of grassland, along with intimate wooded retreats.  We recommend a pleasant lakeside stroll to fully experience the tranquility of the idyllic waters and natural, peaceful surroundings.

We work with some amazingly talented marquee companies in the area, who can look after erecting a stunning wedding marquee at the Lakeside, along with some extremely creative wedding suppliers, who can create the most perfect and magical day.

As they are a no obligation venue, couples have the freedom to build a unique day special to them. Located only a stone’s throw away from Buckminster Barn is St. John the Baptist Church - a grade I listed building which can seat up to 250 people. With Buckminster Barn, St. John the Baptist Church and Village Green all positioned together, guests can enjoy the beautiful surroundings as they wonder at their leisure from the ceremony to the celebrations.

Set just three and a half miles off the A1, Buckminster is within easy reach of the market towns of Stamford, Melton Mowbray and Grantham. Nottingham, Leicester and Loughborough are conveniently situated within a 20-mile radius of the village.
