Burgh Island is dedicated to your ceremony, celebrations and parties.This is undoubtedly one of the most romantic locations in England: a Hotel and a Smuggler's Inn set on a tidal island, surrounded by sea, sunshine and drama, and at low tide, accessible over the virgin beach.

Exclusive use of the Hotel for your wedding includes up to 25 rooms (50 guests) for dinner, bed and breakfast. We have space in our ballroom for an additional 15 non-resident guests (at £75.00 per head).

The cost for exclusive use of Burgh Island for your Devon wedding is:

£16,000 – Monday to Thursday

£21,500 – Friday and Saturday (per night)

£21,500 – Sunday

Please note at weekends a Friday and Saturday booking is required. We can offer one-night bookings on every other night (except bank holidays), subject to availability.

We will work with you on: advance planning, menu tasting for the wedding couple, supervision and advice on your music and entertainment plans, parking on the mainland for your resident guests, transport across the beach and priority check in for the wedding couple and their parents.

The extras we offer:

Music and Entertainment: We have a roster of brands, all of whom are familiar with the hotel and logistics of tides and who offer a range of 1930s period, classical or jazz music. We can also recommend Murder Mystery players and London-based cabaret artists, including “Noel Coward”.

Wines: Our wine list is extensive. Our house champagne, glamorous Tattinger, comes in at £73 a bottle, while we also offer well-known and loved Bollinger at £95. Our champagne and wine prices are subject to market fluctuations, but we will hold the price quoted to you 6 months before your wedding date.

Consider a “signature cocktail” for your wedding day – our bar staff will create a bespoke tipple, with recipe cards to give to your guests as a keepsake.

On party nights, our bar closes at midnight. If you wish to keep the bar open after this time there will be a charge of £500.

Spa and beauty: Our in-house therapists, Zorana and Tamas, are available at all times for a relaxing or deep tissue massage, hot stone therapy and facials as well as mani- and pedicures for the finishing touch.
