Somersham station, our very own Victorian railway station, is licensed for ceremonies of up to 75 people. The vintage waiting room is a romantic, unique setting for the ceremony, full of original features and steeped in history.

In and around the station also makes the perfect place for reception drinks, surrounded by traditional tin advertising and a beautiful Victorian carousel. You can even have the carousel going for an extra special experience for your guests.

The Great Eastern No. 1 carriage will be parked in the station for guests to explore and for you to sign the register on if you wish. It also makes a great backdrop for pictures and has a pretty balcony from which you can wave to your guests.

The station museum can be used for larger ceremonies of up to 350 people. It’s also a versatile venue for a sit-down meal followed by dancing, again surrounded by interesting rail paraphernalia and advertising on the walls.

Why not have a festival-style reception on the top field next to Ironhenge – a structure made from the pillars used in the undercroft of St. Pancras station.

Add some haybales, a tipi and ambient lighting, and this is a perfect area for a festival party. We have proper loos already on the field so no need to hire these in. And there is plenty of space for your guests to camp too!
