Gildredge Manor

A Warm Welcome to Gildredge Manor
Gildredge Manor is one of Sussex's finest privately owned Georgian Manor houses. It is now nearly 240 years old and was once Eastbourne's art gallery and museum (1923-2005) & a private family home for the Vicar and Lord of the Manor of Eastbourne before that.
We purchased Gildredge Manor in late 2011 when it had fallen into rack and ruin having been empty for over 6 years.
Since then we have been lovingly restoring Gildredge Manor to return some of its former glamour and luxury and make it one of the area's most exclusive venues for weddings, celebrations and more!
Weddings
Eastbourne’s best kept secret wedding venue is Gildredge Manor – a recently restored Georgian Manor House in the heart of Old Town.
Gildredge Manor gives you luxury and privacy, as well as convenience, being set in a beautiful park near the town centre and seafront.
The house has two rooms licensed for ceremonies (seating up to 100 downstairs or up to 120 upstairs) and each of the function rooms has a special character and atmosphere creating an elegant and stylish setting.
As well as the ceremony rooms, which you can also have your wedding breakfasts in, there is a lounge bar in the Double Drawing Rooms, a Gentlemen’s Library, a Ladies’ Morning Room, a games room, a bride’s dressing room, a room for your evening entertainment, as well as a lovely garden with a children’s maze.
