Probably built as a Royal Hunting lodge and very much a stately home since the 16th century, Great Fosters is now a prestigious hotel and wedding venue. Set amongst 50 acres of gardens and parkland in Egham, Surrey, the hotel is a Grade One listed building blessed with the grandeur of 16th century England and luxurious modern facilities.  The romantic gardens – a wisteria-clad Japanese bridge overlooking a sunken rose garden, topiary, fountain, lake and Saxon moat – provide an idyllic backdrop for photographs.  The hotel has 43 bedrooms and is licensed for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies.  

Dating from 1390, The Tithe Barn was painstakingly dismantled from its original site within Surrey and re-built at Great Fosters in the 1930s. It provides an unusual and romantic setting for a wedding with exposed vaulted English oak beams and a Minstrels’ Gallery.   Reception drinks are held in the adjacent Painted Hall, which has its own private bar and during fine weather, drinks are served on the beautiful terrace outside.  The Tithe Barn accommodates up to 180 guests.

With tall arched windows in the style of the eighteenth century, the Orangery is an elegant room with views over the gardens.  Reception drinks are held in the adjacent Conservatory, which has its own private bar.  The Orangery accommodates up to 80 guests.

Food at Great Fosters is important to us whether we are catering for two or two hundred. We put the same emphasis on our wedding menus as we do for our restaurants. Our talented kitchen brigade takes great pride in creating dishes that not only look fabulous but also exceed your expectations on the taste front too.
