Houghton Lodge Gardens holds a wedding licence allowing civil ceremonies to take place in two stunning rooms and five outside structures.

Alternatively, All Saints’ Church in Houghton is within walking distance.

In addition to Civil Ceremonies, Registrars can also carry out the following ceremonies at Houghton Lodge and Gardens:

- Commitment Ceremonies (this is a public commitment but with no legal obligations)

- Renewal of Vows Ceremonies (have your Civil Ceremony first with just 2 witnesses, yourselves and the 2 Registrars in one of our registered structures, followed by a Renewal of Vows Ceremony immediately afterwards anywhere in the garden, with all your guests gathered together on the river bank)

- Welcoming Ceremonies (baby naming)

- Combination Ceremonies (welcome children from different relationships when two families become one)
