About Knipe Hall

Knipe Hall is an early 17th century, Grade II-Listed period farmhouse and wedding venue set in three acres of land and nestled in the idyllic and tranquil Lowther Valley, with south and west-facing gardens.

Accommodating up to 12 people Knipe Hall is foremost a farmhouse, which purposefully retains many period features including stone mullioned windows, flagged floors and impressive exposed timbers. Where possible we have modernised the property to include central heating, a stylish bespoke kitchen, stone open fireplaces and contemporary bathroom fittings.

The property has an enclosed garden, patio area and furniture, perfect for relaxing and taking in the fabulous surroundings. The Hall offers the opportunity to leave everything behind and take advantage of the peace and tranquillity and be able to walk out of the front door into the beautiful countryside in this unspoiled area.

Adjoining the farmhouse is the fabulous function facilities which include the ‘party barn’ and the old dairy now converted into large rooms suitable for everyone to get together for that special occasion, birthday celebration as well as weddings http://79.170.44.87/knipehall.co/weddings/!

If additional accommodation is required, Knipe Hall can also be let alongside our other properties, The Greyhound Inn(Sleeps 42) and The Mardale Inn (sleeps 14) and we’re able to organise transportation between the two properties if required.
