The Library of Birmingham, connected to the Birmingham Repertory Theatre (The REP), is home to an impressive collection of archives (including the National Film Archive), photography, and rare books and features state of the art facilities that includes a gallery space, dynamic studio theatre, outdoor amphitheatre, and a range of other informal performance spaces.
The Library of Birmingham is licensed to hold both weddings and civil ceremonies, and feature spaces include the Book Rotunda (a book-lined space that can accommodate up to 200 people), the Shakespeare Memorial Room (a more intimate function room that also offers exclusive use of the adjoining Skyline Viewpoint, which can accommodate up to 45 people), the Discovery Terrace (an outdoor garden terrace ideal for a drinks reception), and the Highlight/ the Gallery (that can accommodate up to 100 people for a drinks reception). Furthermore, there is also the Studio Theatre that can seat up to 292 people theatre-style and 200 people cabaret-style, complete with a range of fully integrated audio-visual options.
