Are you looking for something completely different for your special day?

The Midland Railway – Butterley is licensed to hold weddings and many couples have chosen to celebrate their marriage at this unique venue.  We are able to offer a full package of the marriage ceremony, wedding reception and evening reception, or alternatively any component of this special day. We aim to tailor your day to meet your exact requirements.

You can choose to have your ceremony in the Booking Hall at Butterley Station, in the Museum at Swanwick Junction,  or for small parties in the Demonstration Signal Box. We regret that you cannot, however, due to legal restrictions, be married in St Saviours Church, the railwayman’s church at Swanwick Junction, although you can have a blessing ceremony there if you wish.

Receptions are held in the Deeley Function Room, located in Swanwick Junction Station.  Our catering team offer a full range of options, including meals served to your tables, hot or cold buffets, or very special “Happy Couple” afternoon teas.  The choice is yours – you tell us what you would like and we will do our very best to accommodate your wishes.
