Pennard House, Somerset, is a beautiful, family-owned Georgian Manor House, set in secluded gardens and surrounded by meadows, woodlands and cider orchards. A hidden gem in the rolling Somerset countryside, Pennard House is a magical setting for a wedding and the epitome of dreamy English elegance.  

Pennard House offers a variety of unique options for weddings, allowing the bride and groom to tailor make their day to suit their own personal wishes. Everything is within walking distance, so the entire day can be hosted in one exquisite location with no need for guests to drive from place to place.

For civil ceremonies there is a grand licensed room in the house with seating for up to 80 people, complete with antique mirrors and chandeliers. From summer 2015, there will also be an outdoor ceremony space on the croquet lawn which can accommodate 120 guests. For a church wedding, the picturesque 14th Century village church is just a short walk across the lawn and can accommodate up to 150 guests. Come out to the resonant peal of five bells announcing your marriage to the world!

Following the wedding ceremony, guests can walk to the large south facing lawn in front of the house, complete with rose gardens and Victorian lake. Drinks and canapes can be served while guests roam the garden to the sound of acoustic music. The gardens provide the perfect setting for a unique drinks reception, and endless photo opportunities in the secret haunts and hideaways.

The wedding breakfast is held in the newly renovated 18th Century Coach House with capacity from 50 to 150 people. The Coach House is beautifully finished in neutral colours, providing a blank canvas for the bride and groom to decorate. There is a large, open dining area which provides an ideal venue for guests to sit and dine in comfort, and a separate bar, dance floor and individual seating areas. The Coach house has a fully fitted kitchen, toilets and inbuilt sound and lighting system, so there is no need to hire in these at extra costs.

For accommodation, you have complimentary use of the beautiful newly decorated Orchard Room bridal suite so there is somewhere to get ready and to spend your first night as a married couple. With roll top baths, chandeliers and hand painted walls - it is truly romantic! Also, if you would like your family and friends nearby there are some further rooms in the house. The rooms are very comfortable and the team really try to ensure you feel like Pennard House feels like your home for your wedding day.
