An inside wedding can be grand and formal or small and simple. It’s up to you. There are two rooms within the Forts mighty walls where you can tie the knot. For maximum wow factor, there’s The Grand Napoleonic Hall which seats up to 120 guests. The Emperors Room is perfect for small and intimate weddings with up to 30 guests. Receptions can be held in a marquee on the lawn, or indoors as well. The choice is all yours.

Everyone loves a good boogie at a wedding, especially the over 60s, so they’ll be glad to know they can dance until midnight at Polhawn Fort. Playing music outside is a no-no, but inside, anything (well, almost anything!) goes.

It’s easy to see why Polhawn Fort makes a fantastic summer wedding venue, but when it snows it becomes a classic winter wonderland.Even without snow, there’s something comforting about wild winter storms lashing the coastline, while you and your guests stay cosy and warm within the Fort’s thick granite walls.

Our central heating’s up to the challenge and there’s a roaring fire to gather around. Inside you’ll find plenty of rooms to conduct your whole wedding, from the actual ceremony through to the reception and evening party, making the Fort the perfect venue for a winter wedding, whatever the weather.
