Seaham Town Council’s website which is designed to provide information about the town and the many amenities which make it an excellent place to live and work.With an expanding population of circa 21,500, Seaham is located in the north east of England with stunning cliff top views over the harbour. It is a coastal town in County Durham (the land of the Prince Bishops), 12 miles east of Durham City and 6 miles south of Sunderland. Seaham’s popular North beach, with its sea washed sand and rock pools has been greatly enhanced by a fine, long sea wall which also protects the crumbling cliffs and Coast Road. There are numerous view points on the cliff tops and picnic areas at Seaham Hall, St. Mary the Virgin Church, Noses Point and the Port of Seaham. Within the town there is ample free car parking.
