Situated minutes from London Bridge in historic bankside, Southwark Cathedral is a spectacular unique venue for your wedding reception. Be it a grand affair or an intimate celebration, the Cathedral has the perfect space for your occasion.   

Your celebrations begin in The Churchyard for photos, drinks and canapés. With manicured lawns, herbaceous boarders and majestic York stone, guests can enjoy unbroken views of the Shard and the hustle and bustle of neighbouring Borough Market in this exclusive outdoor oasis.

Guests then move indoors for dining and dancing, where we have a variety of options depending on the size of your celebration.

With sweeping arches, magnificent high vaulted ceilings and our iconic Gothic architecture, The Nave can seat up to 210 for a wedding breakfast. Guests enjoy the candle-lit ambience of this space steeped in history before moving into the adjoining Retro Choir for cake cutting whilst the space is prepared for post dinner entertaining.

For a more intimate celebration, The Garry Weston Library is the perfect setting. Book lined walls, stained glass windows and with architecture inspired by the Nave, The Library can seat up to 60 for dinner and accommodate up to 90 for a standing reception.

Food and service is provided by Leafi, our in-house catering partner who will work with you to create a bespoke menu, using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.
