Within an 11 acre enclave of beautifully maintained gardens in the heart of Central London, set amongst the tranquil surroundings of ‘old Legal London’ architecture, the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn is the largest and oldest of the four Inns of Court dating back to 1422, and has two splendid Halls available for your wedding reception.

The Old Hall, considered one of the finest Tudor buildings in London, provides an intimate setting for your guests to dine amongst its many notable features including the wooden screen at the south end designed by Inigo Jones, and Hogarth’s painting of “Paul before Felix” on the North wall. Your guests are welcomed into the Crypt underneath the Hall, for many a century used for fuel, food and wine storage, but now the stone groin vaulting has been restored to its former glory to provide an atmospheric setting for pre-dinner drinks.  

Opened in 1845 by Queen Victoria, the Great Hall provides the perfect setting for your wedding on a grand scale with its magnificent elevated ceiling, stunning stained glass windows and vast fresco executed by G.F. Watts, showing the world’s law givers from Moses to Edward I on the North wall. The adjoining Bench Rooms and Upper Vestibule provide a wonderful welcoming reception space for your guests, or in inclement weather the East Terrace overlooking the manicured lawns of the Inn can be used for your arrival reception.

The MCR and Old Court Room provide stunning venues for more intimate weddings. The Inn is also licensed to hold civil ceremonies in an array of venues across the estate.
