Our restored 17th-century flour mill is nestled on the banks of the River Avon and offers an ivy-clad retreat in the heart of the enchanting New Forest.

The Mill at Gordleton offers a luxurious marquee and – from 2019 – a purpose built venue in our grounds for weddings.

As part of your wedding we offer a beautiful bridal suite for you to spend your first night in. With a king size bed, freestanding bath and separate sitting room overlooking the river and gardens, it can be reserved for you to enjoy your first night in style and will give you a private space so that you can get ready for your big day. Our wedding suite has its own personal entrance so that bride and bridesmaids can relax and get ready unseen and hairdressers, make up artists and the all-important mother of the bride can come too and fro!

There are individually styled luxury rooms for your guests, and even a special cottage for your family, meaning that everyone can stay in one place making arrangements easy. We can happily host a rehearsal dinner the day before for family.

A SECRET GARDEN FOR YOUR GUESTS TO ENJOY
Step into the secret garden at The Mill at Gordleton for a truly stunning wedding reception where quaint footbridges span the meandering River Avon. Ducks play on the water and kingfishers can be spotted darting from bank to bank!  Here, wild flowers grow in abundance, in amongst a canopy of mature trees and sculptures by local artists. It’s photographer’s dream and a seriously special place for a beautiful Hampshire country reception.

All weddings and civil partnerships at The Mill are individual and unique. Your own personal wedding planner will spend as much time as necessary with you to make sure everything is perfect for your big day, and we are licensed for ceremonies.
