About Trevigue
Barn Wedding Venue In Cornwall
A truly romantic spot on the very same cliffs that Thomas Hardy wandered with his beloved wife Emma to inspire his hauntingly beautiful poems. He wrote:
‘You were she who abode by those red-veined rocks far West, you were the swan necked one who rode along the beetling Beeny crest, And, reining nigh me, Would muse and eye me, while life unrolled us its very best.’
With the breath-taking rolling countryside providing the backdrop to this oh-so-perfect small wedding venue in North Cornwall, the ancient wedding barn here at Trevigue presents a blank canvas where you can create the wedding ceremony of your dreams. We host just a handful of wedding ceremonies a year, so lovebirds who choose our family-run clifftop farm near Bude as the location for their bespoke wedding ceremony will be among a select fortunate few to experience the very special magic found here at Trevigue. This is a truly romantic spot for an intimate ceremony with up to 45 of your nearest and dearest.
And the best bit? The wedding barn at Trevigue is fully licenced so you can tie the knot in a romantic civil ceremony with a registrar leading the proceedings for your special day.
Should you prefer a more bespoke ceremony, we can highly recommend humanist wedding celebrant http://zenabirch.com/about-zena.php Zena Birch to help you to create a non-religious wedding ceremony in Cornwall which is personal to you both. A humanist ceremony gives couples the option of choosing their own vows, readings, ceremony structure and content to create a ceremony as individual as yourselves.
Registrar In Cornwall
Legal non-religious marriages can be conducted by the local Superintendent Registrar in North Cornwall here at Trevigue. To book your civil marriage you will need to firstly check with us that the dates you require are available, before getting in touch directly with the registrar at Bude Registry Office https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/advice-and-benefits/cornwall-registration-service/cornwall-registration-offices/bude-registration-office/. Once you have booked the registrar, please let us know so that your booking at Trevigue can be confirmed.
Wedding Venue Pricing
Exclusive hire of the wedding barn for your dream bespoke small wedding ceremony is £800. Along with those heart-stirring views (just imagine the photos with the Atlantic crashing in the background!) this includes two hours of use of the licenced wedding barn (from 12-2 pm or 1-3 pm). The fee only permits use of the wedding barn for your ceremony (a bit like a non-religious church), as unfortunately we are unable to host wedding receptions at Trevigue.
We are happy to recommend local places for your drinks reception/wedding breakfast, tried and tested local florists and more. We love to help you with ideas to create your dream wedding ceremony so please get in touch https://www.trevigue.com/contact/ to chat to us about your wedding plans and to arrange for a viewing.
Disclaimer – once you’ve viewed the location and seen the beautiful 100-year old wedding barn, we hold no responsibility for you falling in love all over again!
