The moment you catch a tantalising glimpse of West Carlton  in the distance amongst the trees you know you have come to somewhere special. A Haven of peace and tranquility in a lovely rural corner or Yorkshire known as "Holderness".

built in the 1720's West Carlton is an impressive Georgian Manor House in 2 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. Tim and Caroline Maltas have lived here since 1986 lovingly restoring what was previously the farmhouse on a 300acre farm into the elegent Country Guest House you see today. The house stands on its own surrounded by fields and because there is no light pollution the sunsets and starry skys in this part of the world are magnificent.

What ever event you are planning for, West Carlton is a very special venue. We are experienced party planners and have held Christenings/ Golden Weddings/ Special Birthday Parties and every different type of wedding you can think of.

An event at West Carlton is just what you want it to be from the small and intimate to the large and lively.We can cater in the house for 32 guests seated formally in the dining room, and up to 70 for an informal buffet. The Weddings we have organised have either been smaller affairs in the house or for larger weddings the grounds of West Carlton come into their own with Marquees or Giant Teepees. We have enough space to put whatever size marquee is required and whatever shape. We use a number of local marquee companies all will give helpful professional advice whatever the occasion.

We have contacts for caterers/cars/photographers/florists/cakes/balloons/ bands etc this list is endless infact whatever you require to make your special day perfect we will have a recommendation , We even know a company that can provide a Red London Bus!!.
