How to be present and correct at your wedding
It’s traditional for the bride and groom to present a gift to their mothers ‐ usually flowers ‐ during the groom’s speech. This is in the spirit of “thank you for being my mother” rather than a gift for anything they may, or may not, have contributed to the wedding.
The bride and groom also traditionally exchange presents with each other on the day and the bride also pays for the thank you presents for the bridesmaids. Often, this is jewellery, but it could be any kind of memento of the wedding day.
You may also want to thank your best man and ushers. Often couples like to give them cufflinks to wear on the day.
