We spoke to Sheldon who gave us an insight into how he became a wedding entertainer.
“My performance journey has been quite a winding adventure, but I started out performing as a jazz duo. I wanted to be involved with weddings, and the music side just came naturally to me.”
“As time went on clients were asking for acoustic pop music during dinner, and then more musicians, a DJ set and finally full on party entertainment. To suit the people’s needs, I now perform as a soloist musician, in a duo, trio, quartet, DJ and full band.”
We also asked Sheldon what was it about weddings that made you want to get involved in that kind of industry.
“I love being involved in weddings. It’s the happiest time of a couple’s life and it brings out the very best in people. I’ve seen some amazingly touching moments during ceremonies, groom’s speeches, first dances, as well as special moments between friends. What other job allows you to see so many great moments every week? I just love being able to make these moments happen.”
