This week’s real wedding comes from the very talented team at Vasilias Weddings. The stunning rural and traditional surrounding of the Vasilias Nikoklis Inn in Paphos was the ideal location for Cathrin and Ian’s rustic themed wedding. We especially love the fusion of the couple’s Scottish heritage and the beauty that Cyprus has to offer. We really hope you enjoy this week’s wedding as much as we did.

We met… Through a mutual friend at work
The proposal… Ian popped the question while we were out for a quiet walk round the small fishing village near to where we live.
I knew he was ‘the one’… From the start.
Length of engagement… 2 years

Our wedding ceremony was in… Vasilias Nikoklis Inn, Paphos, Cyprus. We had a civil ceremony with 36 guests in total, the most memorable moment for me was saying our vows.
Our wedding photographer was… Marios from Photo7studio.
My dress… Was by Justin Alexander. I chose it because as soon as I put it on I knew it was the one, I probably tried on 15 to 20 dresses before finding this one. It was the style I always had in mind, I went shopping with my mum and sister and they agreed that it was the one for me.
Our wedding reception was at… Vasilias Nikoklis Inn, Paphos, Cyprus. We chose Vasilias primarily because of its location and the beautiful setting, that along with price and privacy were both key in making our decision.
Our wedding theme was… Rustic with lace and hessian
Our favourite part of the wedding was… After our vows, our favourite part of the wedding was the meal and the Greek dancers; they were great entertainment.
Our wedding was unique and special because… The venue was what made our wedding so special and all our guests agreed that it was amazing.
What is your advice for other brides? Don’t get stressed or worried, everything will come together and the most important thing is that the people you love are there with you.
