The Paperwork
The first step once you arrive to the city is to go to the Clark County Clerk’s office for your Marriage Licence. Las Vegas is the Wedding Capital of the World and so, the Marriage License Bureau is open from 5a.m. to midnight seven days a week, including holidays! To get your marriage licence, both the bride and groom must be present and each have a valid form of I.D. (passports will suffice). You can register for your Marriage Licence in advance at Clark County Nevada to decrease the time spent at the Marriage License Bureau. You will have to pay $60 USD and fill out some paperwork. Following your wedding, your minister will file the license for you and you can apply for the certified copy of your marriage license from the clerk’s office for proof of marriage in the U.K.

Planning the Big Day
Next is the wedding itself, which you can plan in advance from back home or go spur-of-the-moment! Once you settle on where you want to get married, you will generally have a wedding planner or wedding coordinator to work with you, this is especially common at locations on the Strip as well as the various wedding chapels, and can prove to be quite helpful. Off-Strip locations such as golf courses may require you to outsource a wedding planner, but will usually recommend a few to choose from.
A lot of couples choose to get married in Las Vegas for no-stress wedding planning and also for affordability. Wedding chapels, both independent or within a hotel, generally have all-inclusive packages that include everything from the use of the chapel, transportation, flowers, photography and more. The price per package varies depending on what you require.

Photo Tours of the Strip
Consider taking a photo tour of the Strip on the day of your wedding. There are photo opportunities throughout the Strip to accommodate anyone’s style, from the fountains of the Bellagio and the Eiffel Tower at Paris to the iconic Las Vegas sign! Those wanting a more vintage Vegas feel for their photos can head downtown to Fremont Street or to the Neon Boneyard where all the old neon signs are retired to.
Whether it’s an intimate ceremony for just the two of you or a grand wedding celebration with family and friends, Las Vegas is what you make of it!
