Fashion blogger and model Chiara Ferragni, who boasts an enormous 14.6 million followers on Instagram (and counting), has married Italian rapper Fedez (born Federico Leonardo Lucia) in Sicily in an extravagant wedding that included three designer dresses, lavish fireworks displays, and even a private fairground!
The celebrations began with a rehearsal dinner at Noto Bassi di Palazzo Nicolac, where Chiara wore a custom-made, glittering silver and gold Prada cocktail dress with a fitted bodice and metallic trim. Guests were arriving for the wedding on private Alitalia flights branded with the couple’s hashtag #TheFerragnez.
The main event was a stunning outdoor wedding ceremony at Dimora delle Balze in Nota, which is a beautiful, secluded 19th-century palazzo complete with a canopy crafted from white roses, hydrangeas, and greenery. For her big day Chiara wore a bespoke Grace-Kelly inspired couture lace wedding dress designed by Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri. The gorgeous gown was an A-line skirt with a long tulle-covered train and featured a lace bodice, high neck, and 3/4 length sleeves.
Chiara completed her wedding day look with a long, traditional white veil, a low, elegant bun, and natural make up.
Her bridesmaids, who included Chiara’s sisters Francesa and Valentina, donned custom pink Alberta Ferretti dresses while her son Leone was dressed in Baby Dior.
When it came time for the wedding reception, Chiara changed into a second custom Dior dress—a pretty haute couture ball gown with a fitted bodice, spaghetti straps and a full tulle skirt that was finely embroidered with personalised lyrics and symbols from a song that new husband Fedez wrote about their relationship. Coming with a detachable skirt, this gown was a convertible, two-in-one dress that transformed into a ballet-inspired mini dress that showed off Chiara’s white heels (which had “J’adior” written on one side and “Chiara” on the other).
Then the couple could enjoy their private fairground, which included classic arcade games, a carousel, and a ferris wheel lit up with the couple’s nickname, “The Ferragnez”.
And as a fitting finale to such an opulent wedding, an impressive fireworks display lit up the sky.
