We were so excited when the royal wedding cake was revealed – the flavour sounded amazing, and it was to be made by an independent London bakery – but knowing what it would look like was a whole other thing.
Kensington Palace have revealed a photograph of the lemon and elderflower cake, waiting at the reception for the newlyweds to cut into it.
The wedding cake is to be served at the Reception. It was designed by Claire Ptak and features elderflower syrup made at The Queen’s residence in Sandringham from the estate’s own elderflower trees, as well as a light sponge cake uniquely formulated for the couple. #royalwedding pic.twitter.com/kt5lE4tEn9
