We were thrilled when former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh and Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas got engaged last month, and it looks like they’ve been full steam ahead with wedding planning, holding their engagement party this weekend.
Like any good celeb couple, they kept their followers in the loop with the celebrations, sharing so many photos it felt like we were at the party – and what an amazing party it looked like!
The couple held their party on a City Cruises boat in London, with a whole host of famous faces joining them to celebrate.
Lucy wore a glittering strapless dress, and we’re wondering if it’s a hint to what her wedding dress will be like?
The short gown had a ribbon tie back, and a gorgeous scallop edged skirt.
The dress was designed by Sylwia Romaniuk, a favourite brand of Lucy’s; she was also wearing a dress by the designer on the night Ryan proposed in Italy.
Lucy’s longtime friend Lydia Bright attended the party, sharing a fun-filled photo to Instagram, captioned: “The most exciting chapter is about to begin.”
Ryan’s Corrie co-star Richard Fleeshman also shared a photo of them all having a whale of a time – and he also performed at the party.
Like many couples before them, Ryan and Lucy knew their engagement party wouldn’t be complete without a photo booth, hired from Photo Booth @ LSP.
There’s nothing we love quite like posing up a storm in photo booths, and it seems Lucy and Ryan are no exception…
It wasn’t just the photo booth that looked amazing; Lucy and Ryan put on an incredible spread of food too, with Italian inspired grazing tables by Grape and Fig for the guests to nibble on.
For their engagement party cake, Lucy and Ryan enlisted the help of Hall of Cakes to create this beautiful Italian inspired masterpiece, Lucy wrote on her Instagram stories: “I sent @hallofcakes1 some inspo for my cake. Florals in Capri, lemon cakes and tiles we saw in the Amalfi Coast everywhere, and they created this work of art!”
The decor for the party was designed by Elari Events and combined breathtaking floral arches, an abundance of balloons and light up letters – perfection, if you ask us!
If this is how amazing their engagement party is, we can only imagine what the wedding is going to be like…
