Is Ed Sheeran already married? He’s sparked rumours that he’s already tied the knot, perhaps in an understated, intimate wedding ceremony.
Is Ed Sheeran already married to fiancée Cherry Seaborn? In an interview with Access (where Ed was discussing a new documentary, “Songwriter”, which is about his music), he seemed to suggest so when, instead of answering a question about wedding plans and details, he gestured sheepishly to the silver ring on his left ring finger.
“All right!” the interviewer exclaimed. “That’s exciting! Congratulations my friend. How did you sneak that one? How did you manage that?”
“Well, I never really do anything too public anyway,” Ed explained.
“That’s awesome—congratulations, I’m happy for you!”

While neither Ed nor any of his representatives have confirmed or denied the rumours, Ed has also discussed what kind of wedding he would like with Entertainment Tonight.
“I don’t like large groups of people at the best of times so… I never wanted a wedding that was lots of people,” he said. He prefers small, simple, intimate wedding ceremonies that have “a good vibe.” He also said that he’d like to have an “unknown” singer to perform at his wedding so that he and his guests (some of whom would probably be singers and performers themselves) can have the night off.
Ed and Cherry’s relationship sounds like the perfect love story: they met at school at age 11 and then reconnected at Taylor Swift’s Fourth of July party in 2015.
“This has been the first time I’ve actually had the time to fall in love properly,” Ed told Beats 1 Radio in 2017. “I’ve never been happier. I’ve never been more comfortable. I’ve never been more inspired. I feel like everything’s fallen into place.”
Ed proposed to Cherry over the 2017 Christmas holidays and made it public on Instagram in the new year.
“Got myself a fiancée just before new year,” he wrote on Instagram. “We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx.”
In a pinnacle of romance, Ed then went on to write his hit ballad (and yet another classic, beautiful wedding love song in the making), “Perfect”, in honour of Cherry.
